Call for papers – ASIAC annual conference – Gorizia, 5-7 December 2018

On Wednesday, 5 December to Friday, 7 December 2018, the University of Trieste (Gorizia campus) will host the annual conference of the Italian Association for the study of Central Asia and the Caucasus. In line with previous editions, the conference will have an inter-disciplinary character, and will offer to researchers specialized in the study of Caucasus and Central Asia a common space for presenting the results of their current researches.

We strongly encourage participants to organize thematic panel proposals including participants from different universities or research institutions and one moderator. All the proposals should include a title and a short abstract (about 200-300 words), affiliation, and contact information for each of the speakers and should be sent by June 15th 2018 to the following email address: [email protected].

The working languages of the congress will be Italian and English.

The notification of acceptance will be communicated by July 15th 2018.

Deadlines:

– deadline for proposals: 15 June 2018;

– notification of acceptance: 25 July 2018;

– registration and fee payment: 5 September 2018 (lack of payment will result in removal from the programme);

– publication of the final programme: 20 September 2018.
